The SSURF Annual Meeting returns in person at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. – a full day of insightful presentations, keynotes and panels tailored to the interests of user facility leadership, administrators and user Executive Committee members.
SSURF is grateful to showcase a keynote presentation by the renowned Kei Koizumi, Deputy Director for Policy at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). More speaker announcements to come. This is a must-attend event for all stakeholders of the user facilities ecosystem.

A collaborative effort between Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Idaho National Laboratory and other organizations interested in, or currently using, SiC for thermometry. The primary goal of the workshop will be to discuss the practical and technical details of using and analyzing SiC thermometry. A secondary goal will be to discuss a plan for developing an ASTM standard for SiC TMs.

The venue for this conference is Santa Fe, the state capital of New Mexico, home to several laboratories with key roles in space nuclear power. NETS 2024 will offer a variety of topics in space power. The first plenary session will be devoted to overall space nuclear power missions ranging from nuclear thermal propulsion to radioisotope power systems. The second plenary will give a New Mexico-centric focus with the Air Force Research Laboratory and Sandia National Laboratories capabilities. The final plenary session will focus on the host laboratory, Los Alamos, and relevant history and facilities for space nuclear power missions.

That is why, from April 22-26, 2024, researchers working in seemingly unrelated fields will gather in Seattle, Washington to promote, share and discuss issues and developments across disciplines at the 2024 MRS Spring Meeting & Exhibit. The virtual portion of the Meeting is May 7-9, 2024.
The 2024 MRS Spring Meeting is the key forum to present research to an interdisciplinary and international audience. It provides a window on the future of materials science, and offers an opportunity for researchers—from students and postdoctoral fellows, to Nobel and Kavli Prize Laureates—to exchange technical information and network with colleagues.
